Here’s a look at the top four flappers available at your local supermarket.

Tennis player and flapper, Victoria Azarenka, says she buys the toilet flapper in bulk and then treats herself to its ingredients.
“I like to mix it with a little bit of honey,” says Azarenka, speaking from her home in Belarus.
“And then I eat it myself and it’s good. It is delicious,” she says.
“There is actually a market in Belarus where people buy this [flapper] because they are poor,” adds Azarenka, adding that she has had customers come from France and Germany.
The toilet flapper – usually made from cornmeal – comes as part of a snack packed with fats and oils.

“Flapper is a delicacy for some people but for the rest of the community it is a luxury commodity – and that seems quite understandable to me,” says Azarenka’s agent in Belarus.
There is little information on the popularity of toilet flappers anywhere in the world, so Azarenka’s agent is now making a map from information from the Belarusian police.
It shows where toilet flappers are used from.
They are often bought at local markets, and are often eaten in the country. They are especially popular with families.
But the flapper market is also growing in Russia. A new map published by The Economist shows that some 70% of Russian households consume toilet flaps – an increase from 10% in 2010.
Russians, by most accounts, are not that bothered about the taste of the products at home, but flappers are something different.
