A basic pencil in red, white, black, green, yellow, or blue is required. A pencil and eraser, including a special, thin-walled ball eraser, is provided.
Can I use my regular sketch pencil and eraser?
Yes, but only on the lines that require an extreme amount of pressure. After drawing a full line, the eraser might cause the pencil to move too far in the direction of the line the pencil was drawing. This is what causes a misalignment of the lines.
Do you recommend a specific pencil or eraser?
Yes, we recommend the standard, thin-walled ball- eraser. It’s easy to carry everywhere, comes with convenient, removable clips, and comes with a special tip. Our pencils are easy to find and a great way to improve your penmanship.
What ink should I use?
For drawing and writing on the computer, we require a traditional ink with a heavy, smooth, smooth surface. For drawing on watercolor or watercolor paper, we strongly suggest using a fine-line, watercolor or watercolor- paper ink. Our color choices include:
Watercolor ink: The most popular choice in professional arts and crafts studios for over a century. Watercolor ink is a very thin, liquid-based ink that contains just a very small amount of lead dioxide, as opposed to pigment, that causes the fine line on watercolor paper.
Watercolor pencil: A very soft, fine textured black-lead pencil that can be easily handled by professionals without having to take a special break. It’s typically used in sketching on watercolor or watercolor paper.
Watercolor inked sketchbook: A special black-lead inked notebook that can be used for sketching on watercolor or watercolor- paper.
