“It is a matter of time before we realize that this is the age we have to go back to, because the quality of photo is going to get better and better. The technology is not very advanced and we are still learning about it.
“We have not really understood what’s necessary to get a certain photograph to have a certain quality, and this is something that is going to change in the next 20-50 years. Before that, even if we are living in the future, we still have to be interested in photography.”
What is going to happen to the old Kodak film cameras?
“I would be pleased if Kodak discontinued its film cameras. I understand that a lot of photographers, especially those who have not been exposed to digital technologies before, are disappointed.
“They think they have no idea what they are looking at. I understand that, even though some of us have been dealing with digital technology for five or 10 years and still feel that way.
“In the last few years, if it is not going well, I have seen some people using camera phones, and that is why I would love to change the image people see.”
Where does this technology coming from come from?
“It is a technology coming from the Internet. The Internet is a good source for making the technology.
“They made the Internet, and with a little creativity, they added digital components, and they also make the technology easier to use.”
What is the most difficult photography technique to do?
“In one of our shows, we started with portraits, and we had a lot of help from our students. I would say it is more difficult to do portraits with the camera on your head than anything else.
“There are different types of photographers who think they are good at portraits, and then they go to do those photos on their smartphones. Of course, we are not going to judge anyone’s photography, but it is still true that it often takes more time to shoot a portrait than it does to take a photo of someone on their mobile device.
“In the next 10 years, the new things will come out, and this is where you have to be interested in photography. We are not going to go out of business any time soon.”
How come photography has never been taught in school?
“When I was growing up, everybody had a camera, every year in school, but the question was never
