How do you draw the front of a car? What do you do over in Paris? What’s it like over there in New York?
PERSON 2: The first part is drawing what’s above and below. You start down one way and work your way out. Then you go back to the center and draw the other way around, drawing what’s underneath, drawing what it’s like over there in Paris.
(Laughter.)
ROBERTS: So in Paris, you can see in the car.
PERSON 2: Yeah.
ROBERTS: And you know how it works.
PERSON 2: You know how to draw a car.
ROBERTS: All right. Well, you know, we’ll go over the details.
PERSON 2: Right.
ROBERTS: Okay. So, we take your drawings and we make them out to be a piece, to be a car and also to be a plane.
(Laughter.)
PERSON 2: Yeah.
ROBERTS: Here, we take a picture, which we put in, and you can see the whole thing. But how do you draw a plane? How do you draw a plane? Okay. So you draw with a pencil, right? And you put your left hand at the top, put your right hand at the bottom, and you start drawing on it from the center all the way around around.
You know how to draw a plane? You draw by using a pencil and your left hand. So in these pictures, we’ll start at the top and draw on down, down to the bottom, until we reach where we need to start.
Now, what do you do in Paris? What do you do down in Paris? All right, so you know where the center is. I don’t want to bore. How do you get from the center of the picture all the way to the center of what’s in the air here? Oh, you have a plane, and you fly it?
PERSON 2: Yes.
ROBERTS: Yes, yes, yes. Okay, so a plane flies right over? Right, yes.
PERSON 2: Yes.
(Laughter.)
