Well, there’s only one way to find out. They created a new brand to represent their wares. Their goal that year was to establish that the American women’s fashion was, at least until WWI, at a level of sophistication and quality that hadn’t been achieved before or since. Ladies began designing new women’s dresses, which they called “fashion dresses,” in the spring of 1925.
And what do you say about this? Ladies who can make clothes you’ll love? And this one? Well, let’s talk about that for a moment. Ladies who aren’t just designers for the wealthy but for the average American girl who wants to know what she’ll look like when she grows up? How about women who can make a gown that makes any woman look great? Ladies who can make a wedding gown that will give any girl the look of her dreams. Ladies who can produce fine jewelry? Ladies who can do anything else to make one look all right? Ladies who can keep that special something you wanted in something special? Ladies who can create a new brand of “fashion” so good that women who don’t want to buy dresses can wear them and feel that they can buy something that’s better than anything out there but they don’t have to be the best. Ladies who can make a brand that will change the way women think about a dress by giving them something to wear but not something they can’t wear.
And this, ladies: This is what will make a woman feel she’s equal and worthy and not just a thing someone says she’s. This is what will change the way men think about women to give them some place to go but also something that they can aspire to. This is the new fashion.
