If on “3rd” string, the note “b” can be played on the “1st” string as written in “One-Eyed Jacks.” If on “1st” string, the note “a”, and chord, are on the “2nd string”. If on “2nd” string, the note “b”, (note “a”), the chord, is on the “3rd string” so, that C-D-E-F-G-A is written in the “one-eyed” position on “3rd” string, and the same for the C major chord when is written on the fourth string “4th”.
