There is not a whole lot of information on this. The best information I could find was a blog post on a UK based website, where they discuss the soprano type ukulele. They give their recommendation in terms of string gauges (in grams). I am not entirely convinced though by the fact that ukuleles that are larger than the 8″ string are a poor choice to start with as the bridge is too stiff and would result in a string cutting problem or breakage. If that is the case then I would take a 8lb. soprano ukulele. The only option I would be considering is a 8lb. concert ukulele, which I can see myself getting in the future.
Where do I get my guitar lessons?
If you are looking for a guitar lesson, there are lots of places to find one online. Some will let you register and be given an apprised of what classes are taking place on specific days. At the moment we have an app called ‘Solo Guitar’ on the Apple App Store and a web-based service called ‘Strings for Lessons on Guitar’ that allows you to find an instructor in your area.
Do you offer lessons at venues, like concerts?
We can offer lessons on guitar at clubs, bars and concerts as well as on the street from time to time. We regularly hold evening classes in some areas.
