The metal in your watch is rustoleum, which is a type of porcelain alloy. This is the same type of alloy that was used to make the watches in the 1930s and 1940s. Enamel has a matte, almost matte finish, and is not shiny. It often has a rich metallic sheen to the surface; a shiny enamel may have a metallic sheen to it.
