When it comes to finding moving averages and price trends, you need to take into account a few important factors.
First, if you are in a high-volume market for a specific item, you have a better chance of finding an upward or downward price trend.
In contrast, if you are less in-the-know and have limited knowledge of an item, you are better off using the regular moving average.
The second consideration is the strength or weakness of the price trend.
An upward trend tends to create greater momentum because buyers need to “buy in” to take advantage of this trend. Conversely, a downward movement tends to create less momentum because the downward movement tends to make prices seem harder to move.
In summary, if you are in a high-volume market as well as if you know what other factors you have to take into account when buying and selling, you have a better chance of identifying an uptrend or lower trend than you would if you are outside the market and don’t have a grasp on the factors listed below.
