I don’t design a tattoo. I only have one client. I design a tattoo but that client has no idea what I’m going to do. I’m not interested in that.
Do you think it’s important to do a tattoo?
Yes, of course. Everyone needs some tattoo once in a while. That’s what we do. I always like it.
Is there a tattoo you want to do but don’t know where to start?
Yes! I want to do a tattoo with my brother, but I don’t want a tattoo just yet! I’ve been drawing for quite a long time and I’ve always liked doing ink and I’d like to have a tattoo.
What’s the weirdest or coolest thing someone’s said to you while tattooing?
The funniest is the comment, “You’re not really that big” – in English that means you’re a little underdressed. It’s not so funny because most people don’t know me as a tattoo artist, but they’ll know me to be a guy.
What advice would you give someone interested in getting a tattoo?
First of all you get a sense of who you are and your personality. The tattoos always are like that too, even the tiny tattoos. I don’t recommend having big tattoos. The next thing is that you need to get a tattoo when you’re ready, not when you have to be a tattoo artist. Always do tattooing when you can and make it a regular job that you actually like.
Do you wear any accessories?
I wear a blue jeans jacket with a white jacket, and a green t-shirt with a green t-shirt. I also wear a pink t-shirt with a black jacket. I love my blue jeans.
What tattoo do you think you’d be best suited for?
Inking or tattoos?
Well, I like to do both. Inked is more professional and it’s always fun and rewarding. Tattoos are more spontaneous.
Inked is more popular in the UK, do you think English people get it more than other people?
Yes and no. I think they’re less judgmental.
What’s your favourite tattoo?
My favourite tattoo is the one I got a while ago. I think it’s the tattoo on my stomach. I love my big tattoo on my back.
