What the Bible says about divorce? – Infinity With Cross Tattoo Designs

Matthew 19:7 “What think you? If a man and his wife were to go to war, would you intervene and prevent them from fighting?” The Bible teaches that, if a man and his wife leave each other, both “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”

2 Corinthians 5:21-24 “So then, as we have not sinned against the Holy Ghost, but with our mind we have given a lie to the Holy Ghost, and with our mouth we have spoken deceit, in order to serve our own passions; as it is written: ‘For this cause was the gospel preached among all nations: that they all might hear, and believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.'” According to the Bible, only a woman who knows that she is pregnant would be the one to deny Christ to her. Jesus’ followers were taught there would be no divorce in the early church (when the Scriptures taught that divorce was a mortal sin). Thus the Bible teaches no divorce during that time. Matthew 19:11-12 “The wife of the dead shall not inherit the man. For whoever divorces his wife, except it be for fornication, and has seven times confessed to her: And has not had seven days’ separation from her before he divorces her, is guilty of committing adultery. But if she has had seven days’ separation from him before he divorces her, it is not his fault if he divorces her, for what he did was not against her will.” The Bible says that divorce is a mortal sin and can never occur within the power and authority of a church group or nation. The Scripture also warns against fornication or adultery. This is the reason why divorce in the early church was usually done when a woman told her husband that she was not wanting more children.

The Bible also teaches that an unmarried man will lose his first wife and will be divorced. And the same happened to a man when his brother married a younger woman (John 2)!

Romans 8:3-4 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that unless your right eye causes you to sin, you will not sin. For it is written: ‘My eye causes me to sin'” The reason we should avoid adultery is because those who commit adultery commit adultery. They lie, cheat, and rob their betrothed. But when a man and his wife are on
