There is no right or wrong way to become a filmmaker. But in this day and age, we all need to be able to identify and learn from our mistakes.
One of the hardest components of becoming a filmmaker is being on the cutting edge of everything. You may find yourself being called upon to serve the role of editor, lighting/video design, etc. I would also love to invite you to a screening for one of our upcoming shows called “Where Filmmakers Get their Shots” and discuss your journey leading up to that night.
We also regularly host workshops which bring you up to speed on your options, as well as a few of our favorite podcasts. (For a full list and schedule, click here)
Do I have to be a professional?
Well, there are many ways of learning to take your filmmaking to the next level. What if my interest in film is so deep and my skill set is so advanced that I’m completely lacking the necessary skills to actually do much with it? In this situation, if you have the passion but you don’t have the ability to learn, don’t despair!
There are literally millions of people who are passionate about the craft of filmmaking who have been through the same path as you to get to this point. What might seem intimidating and intimidating now might be just the motivation you need to continue your creative adventure.
With a little experience under your belt and your passion in full swing, you can start applying some of the techniques and knowledge we’ll share here.
The next step for each of you is to become part of something bigger. Something you want to be a part of. A company with a name so big and so respected its influence can be felt across the world.
We have a ton of information about how to get started and where you can find resources to get things started. Don’t worry about the details before you start. As you become more comfortable with our programs and resources we hope to see you continue to grow and advance at the speed you need.
If so, we think you would be a great fit for one of our upcoming shows, where we’ll be sharing our expertise and resources to help people learn how to do just about anything.
Stay tuned for more on what’s to come!
