What are the stages of editing?

For example, when someone has a story with one scene and it’s really good, but not great, the editing has to move to the next scene, then change the next scene, and so on.

“What we need to be able to do is let this story develop and develop and develop until there’s a climax where the story comes full circle. So what we are saying is, you can make sure that the dialogue is accurate, you can put more words on screen, and that people will understand exactly what a certain character says but you can also add more detail if you need it. But, again, I think in a lot of cases, people can really only remember what they saw at the finish. So it’s really important to capture the essence.”

What about music? Will there be a musical score to accompany the film?

“We’re looking at it…it depends on who do you work with but obviously we have to work with a lot of different people, and for that matter we’ve got to learn a lot from everybody because I think everybody is learning from everybody.”

What is the most difficult aspect of editing a film?

“It’s a balancing act because in order for an editor to be effective, all of the components that make up a piece of film have to be perfect. So you have to make sure that when your eye is tracking a certain part of the screen, it looks just right. For example, if you look at the end of the film and you are thinking about what might happen in a different moment, you’re probably probably going to be lost in the moment and lost in the edit – if you’re looking at the whole film it’s very difficult to make the eye tell the difference. So it’s a balancing act. The other thing is, you’re not there to have a great film but you’re there to have a great edit.”

When a high-speed train crashes in the US, the media tend to cover it as if it were a normal accident. They don’t always do this; they’ll usually highlight the speed limit or the victim and talk about what the train driver did in the event of a severe collision or in the interest of public safety.

However, something rather different happened
