The official news site for GONZO! published a letter on May 13 that said the studio is preparing to show a new short film based on the “Super Friends” light novels, that will take place in “Poromaru Village” from the original light novel series, during the GONZO! 2014 concert in Tokyo on June 11th and at Nipponbashi Kiyo-in in Osaka on June 18th.
The light novel series’ story centers around “Poromaru” a boy, who finds he does not have any friends due to not having any parents. He meets “Super Friends”, some girls who are strong and fun-loving, so he wants to be like them.
The “Super Friends” light novel series began in January 2000 as a manga by Satoshi Furukawa, which is now an online light novel series at http://superfriendsfiction.com/. The light novels continue to be published in Japan.
