This can be very confusing. I’ve tried to define one of the common types of sketching in Sketchfab and then provide a quick example, using the type of sketching you want. Sketchfab:
Type of Sketch(s): 2D or 3D (note the asterisk)
(note the asterisk) File type: Illustrator, GIMP (depending on what is currently in your desktop)
In this answer, I’m going to assume you are ready to work the basic sketch up in Illustrator.
I strongly recommend that you learn Photoshop first in order to be ready when you are out of sketching software, otherwise, sketching will be so much easier in Photoshop than in Sketchfab, and is very easy enough to learn. You should start learning Photoshop at the very beginning of your art design and sketching. Then go to Sketchfab, and begin sketching right away. But if you don’t already use Illustrator, learn to use that in a few months. As for the other tools, I used a lot of Illustrator, but did use a lot of GIMP. I had to learn to work these two very different tools very fast.
What should I write in the drawing?

What do you want to draw?
A sketch is very broad: if you only want to draw a person or animal you can just draw whatever you want for it. If in the example you just want to draw flowers you are probably better off drawing a flower. If that is how you want to paint the flower, you can do that. If in the example you want to draw flowers for yourself, you can paint them in Illustrator’s paint brush. Are you done drawing, or do you need any help?
If you have done all the basic things you should have the sketch ready to just start sketching. If you have not finished, you probably need help. Check out the forums to ask for help.
