I don’t. It is an easy way to get out of the game and avoid getting banned or a ban of some length. I get a lot of bans and it makes me so mad and sad to see these people get away with it. The only problem that I see with it is it takes a lot of mental energy and hard work for such a small punishment. You don’t want to commit so much time painting in an attempt to get away with something that might actually be a serious crime.
I believe if it weren’t for the fact that you can’t see, then I would do it. But I can see the paint and know it isn’t for the community. But I can’t just say ‘oh no, it’s not my style!’ and think that it doesn’t matter, I will still get through it.
I think that some of the more mature and sophisticated people get away with it now more then ever.
I think some of the more mature and sophisticated people get away with it now more then ever – more and more of those that want to show off are getting away with it. I don’t think it’s that big anymore.
The most recent ban is one where you were given a 24 hour suspension due to a previous ban for having a huge piece of artwork. As of now, you will probably still receive a permanent ban from CSGO Lounge as a way of not letting go of your work before it is too late. So how much of a risk do you think you might be taking that you might get banned again for something completely unrelated to graffiti?
Yes I do risk getting banned. I’m more of a risk taker, I find it very challenging, and I do think at the end of the day it comes down to what your opinion. If you were out there painting that day and were going to lose everything, then I would take that risk. You can’t get caught graffiti.
I do try to keep up my reputation as a good person, but I also try to always be polite and helpful. I know that many other people have gone through this experience and in some cases have gone against everything they’ve claimed to be. But I also think it comes down to personal trust for everyone to see my side of things. Some may be afraid to say this in the first place, but I am not.
As someone who paints for a living, is there a feeling of pride within you when you look at the graffiti that comes through
