Crawley man Alan Gormley made his League One debut after a late challenge from Simon Grayson
Tottenham have agreed a £1.5m fee for Charlton Athletic defender Simon Grayson.
Garrity, 23, made his League One debut against Peterborough United on Friday and is now available for transfer within the space of 24 hours, following the end of Spurs’ loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday.
Swindon manager Steve Evans says the club are looking to replace former striker Chris Baird, who also left the club as a free agent.
“It’s a massive loss for Swindon,” Evans told BBC Radio Swindon.
“We had a deal with him from March 2013, and he never really had a good run of form at the club.
“He’s an elite player and there are times in football where quality is so difficult to find and it’s really sad.
“I spoke to Steve and he has got some of the players now on the bench which is the best thing.
“It’s a big loss because we’ve got a great bunch of players out there.”
Garrity, who signed from Blackpool for £700,000 last month, played in all 10 of Charlton’s games during the Championship season but only made one start, in a 3-1 defeat at Portsmouth on 12 April.
