What about your voice at work? What do you do in your free time? Do you listen to more classical music and classical music from your childhood? Is it better to sing a particular song from your childhood or your favorite old music? When singing and playing a new song, would you prefer to sing it in a specific style or will you keep it in the original? What do you think about all the “new music” that’s popular today?
Do you enjoy listening to classical music? Do you enjoy singing as well? Do you think it’s important to sing in classical music or not? Are you comfortable at all with the idea of singing a particular piece from your childhood or favorite old piece? This helps answer one of the most important questions with regards to singing and classical music: do you prefer singing or do you prefer playing classical music?
Are you comfortable with your singing voice and do you think you’re singing more as you get older? You could try listening to a particular piece of music by an old classical artist like Beethoven, or other great classical artists like Vivaldi or Schumann. There’s nothing wrong with listening to classical music, so don’t feel bad if you can’t quite get into it and don’t mind being at a loss. Just keep in mind that it’s not for everyone. If you don’t love singing, try other musical instruments like saxophones, woodwinds, and cellos so that you can learn and improve your singing skills. Also it’s good to think about whether you actually want to sing or just play classical music. If you want to sing, it may not be a bad idea to focus on learning a technique of the violin or to try to become a good jazz saxophone player instead.
