Is 19 too old to learn guitar? – Easy To Learn Guitar Songs Smoke Me Everyday Ropa

Nope, that’s just not the point. As a guitar enthusiast I always wondered how young people could play one of the most difficult, most fun, and most rewarding instruments on Earth, without a guitar teacher.

At 21 years old, Ryan had been playing bass for about four years by the time I met him and introduced him to guitar. Ryan had just started to have trouble singing so I gave him a couple of lessons before I started playing the guitar.

Now, of course, it’s important to note how Ryan was able to learn guitar so quickly. He had been playing a bass at age 10 and had never done any instruments like the guitar, so he was used to playing just one instrument at a time.

By age 21 he was playing three instruments as well as guitar.

How Ryan started his first lesson at 21…

As soon as his first lessons ended I saw a post on Fender where they were looking to teach some folks. The first teacher I saw was a 20-year-old high school teacher named Eric. He was teaching a 15-year-old, a 17-year-old, a 21-year-old and an 18-year-old.

He looked like a good match for Ryan because he had been teaching guitar since I met him at age 10. Eric had also been teaching bass lessons with Ryan so he understood how to teach his students.

It took Eric less than an hour and fifteen songs to teach Ryan about everything he needed to know in order to become a good sounding guitar player.

A few months later Ryan and I were playing together at a gig with friends and he got all the guitar parts right on his first try.

So how did Ryan take things from this to begin his journey to becoming a professional musician?

How Ryan began playing guitar

Ryan started with some bass and a guitar which he had been teaching until I met him.

He was teaching me to play guitar when I was 15 years old so there was a lot that he could teach me about playing. However, with that was the question, how old was he really?

Well, Ryan claimed that he was 19. He had been teaching guitar for four years and told me that he was now ready to get started on the serious business of guitar learning.

If he really is 19 years old, there is no way that he is a professional. Ryan started his first guitar lesson when he would be 11-
